Art Director

An Art Director at Likeable Media is passionate about all things social media, always seeking ways to elevate what’s possible from a creative and aesthetic point of view. The role is responsible for managing and executing high quality content across multiple accounts, projects, and platforms. From Snapchat Stories to Instagram campaigns, the tasks of a Art Director can take on many forms – you are excited and willing to tackle them all.     

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, collaborative, a conceptual thinker and able to mentor as well as articulate concepts to clients and team members. You will work with a team of content strategists, producers and designers to brainstorm, collaborate and execute all forms of social media content.

Roles and Responsibilities: Social media is an ever-changing field, so although you will have some routine responsibilities, your role is going to require you to adapt slightly every now and then. However, this list should give you a good idea of what your day-to-day obligations will be:

  • Design a wide range of creative deliverables, from day-to-day social content to 360 social
  • campaign ideas, that meet predetermined objectives and strategies
  • Own and oversee production of photo and video shoots on multiple projects at one time
  • Work with senior team members to establish new skills
  • Stay up-to-date with new media formats, identifying opportunities to incorporate into content
  • Mentor and provide feedback for Junior Art Directors and Junior Graphic Designers

You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts or related field
  • 3-5 years of agency-side experience developing creative assets
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); UX/web experience a plus
  • A comprehensive understanding of layout and composition – strong design, color,
  • photography and typography skills
  • Ability to recognize “big ideas” and execute across platforms
  • The confidence to articulate your ideas to peers and sell to clients
  • (Strong communication/interpersonal skills to best collaborate with the team)
  • An understanding of how to translate a brand’s look and feel to social
